What is Mind & Body Reset?

Allow the mind to slow down and give the body space to rest from accumulated tension and fatigue.

This session may be suitable for those who feel physically and mentally overworked, experience muscular tension, do not feel fully rested, feel fatigued or mentally foggy, or feel as though the body remains “on alert” even when it is time to rest.

Each session is personalised. I may combine different approaches such as Spinal Synergy, Cranial Work, Somatic Touch and Stillness, together with gentle supportive touch, awareness of breathing, and observation of the body’s natural responses.

The work may begin around the sacrum and along the spine, using gentle touch while observing the rhythm of the breath, areas of tension, subtle movements, and natural changes within the body.

The aim is not to force the body to “release” or to immediately correct anything. Instead, the session creates a calm and supportive space in which the nervous system may have an opportunity to settle, allowing the body to gradually move towards rest, relaxation and recovery at its own pace.

At times, the body may respond well to deeper touch. At other times, gentle movement may be more appropriate, while sometimes what is needed most is simply supportive holding, awareness and stillness.

This session can support a sense of relaxation, ease physical tension, and help you feel more connected with your body.

Every session is adapted to what your body needs and how it responds on that particular day.

SPINAL SYNERGY

Spinal Synergy is a gentle bodywork approach that begins with quiet contact around the sacrum, while observing the natural rhythm of your breathing and how your body responds.

Gentle touch and sustained holds are then used along the spine, encouraging areas of tension or restriction to soften and release naturally.

The slow, quiet approach gives you time to notice your breathing, body sensations and subtle changes, supporting greater body awareness and the body’s natural ability to settle and find balance.

No forceful manipulation or cracking is used.

CRANIAL & STILLNESS WORK

Cranial work uses very light, gentle touch, often around the head, neck and sacrum.

Rather than applying strong pressure, the hands may rest quietly in one place, allowing time for the body to slow down and settle.

During this stillness, you may notice changes in your breathing, a sense of softening, warmth, heaviness or simply a feeling of deep rest.

The focus is on listening to the body rather than forcing change.

SOMATIC TECHNIQUES

Somatic techniques bring attention to how you experience your body from within.

Through slow touch, gentle movement, breathing awareness, pauses and sustained holds, you are given time to notice sensations such as tension, warmth, heaviness, ease or subtle changes in the body.

There is nothing you need to do or achieve. The intention is simply to slow down, become more aware of your body and allow space for the body and mind to settle.

Sometimes the most meaningful changes begin with simply noticing, slowing down and listening to the body.
